Specifications
Sonsation is a new variety, which performs in de mid-season segment of June bearers. Sonsation is an easy to grow crop. The plant has a compact growth with unique, upturning leafs. Flower trusses are at leaf length and still well protected against spring frost. The clusters is well arranged which improves picking speed. The fi rst growers trials demonstrated a good tolerance to Phytophthora cactorum. Nevertheless, a preventive treatment is generally recommended. The variety also showed a good tolerance to mildew in fi eld conditions. Sonsation needs extra amount of trace elements, particularly Magnesium. The plant requires Potassium already very early in the fl owering process. Like Sonata, Sonsation appears to be slightly susceptible for bruising. So please be advised to ensure a gentle fruit handling.
