Fresh plants

From the end of July the fresh plants are harvested. With a ‘lifter’ we shake the plants from the soil. After that the plants are cleared in boxes and immediately covered with a wet bag to prevent them from drying out. By wetting the plants thouroughly we see to it that they are coming nice and fresh from the land.

In the shed the main shoot is cut of and the plants are nicely tied into bunches. Other shoots are also cut of . The bunches are gathered and wrapped up in boxes or plastic bags by the family itself. By doing so the plants are neatly put in the box which is time-saving at the moment of planting.

Until deliverancetime (we aim at prepairing in one day) the plants are kept fresh in the cold store.
