Korona is a mid-season variety and suitable for growing in the open field. The cone-shaped fruit is fairly big, darkred with a nice and sweet flavour. Korona is, because of these qualities often grown in self-picking businesses. Because Korona’s fruit is more fragile and with a shorter storage life than Elsanta it is less suitable for the trade. Korona has shown a good tolerance to most diseases.
